BRIEF HISTORY of ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL BAREILLY

  • Army School Bareilly Cantt was founded on 08 july 1987 upto class viii with 100 students.
  • The school got its affiliation with CBSE in march 1989.
  • Further the first batch of class X passed out in 1991. The school was upgraded to class XI in 1991 and XII in 1992.
  • Humanities in class XI was introduced in the year 2002.
  • The school is running at three different locations – primary wing, middle wing and senior wing.
  • During 2002, new lab complex (Bhabha Block) & administrative building (Radhakrishnan Block) were constructed.

ACADEMIC PROFILE ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL BAREILLY

  • All three streams science, commerce and humanities are available at senior secondary level.
  • School conducts four examinations in an academic session for classes XI & XII. School has introduced CCE and grading system as per the directions of CBSE for the classes I to X.
  • School conducts regular career and psychological counselling programme for senior students.
  • School conducts in-service teachers training for 5 days in an academic session. A special session for CCE was conducted by a resource person trained by CBSE to update our teachers.
  • CBSE conduct orientation programmes, like workshops and seminars regularly for teachers and adm staff.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

1. (a) Academic session begins on 1st April of every year. Priority is given to the children of serving Army Personnel, Army war windows, Assam rifles etc. Duly completed application form should be submitted to the School office on or before the prescribed date. Late submission of application form will not be entertained.

(b) Civilian Children will be given admission, only if seats are vacant. Merit is the main criterion for admission of civilian on a role model concept. Admission test will be conducted whenever it is applicable.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

1. The following documents are required at the time of admission:-

  • (a) Transfer certificate from the School last attended duly attested by an Edn Officer of the state.
  • (b) Character Certificate.
  • (c) Birth certificate.
  • (d) Marks Sheet/Progress Report.
  • (e) Two recent passport size photographs.
  • (f) Migration Certificate (if from Boards other than CBSE).

Note: Incomplete admission forms in any respect will be rejected.

CHANGE IN DATE OF BIRTH

Once recorded, change in date of birth will not be accepted.

LATE FEES

If fees are not paid by due date, late fees will be charged as under:-

  • Upto 20th of the current month – Rs 20/-
  • Upto 1 month – Rs 50/-
  • Upto 2 months – Rs 100/-
  • Upto 3 months – Rs 150/-

If fees and fine are not paid for three consecutive months, the name of the students will be struck off the rolls.

NCC come into existence in Army Public School, Bareilly Cantt. in the year 2007. The present strength of cadets in different divisions and wings is as follows :-
